SAM 94 Lectures -- Jerry Andrus
The Society of American Magicians #94
is proud to be the place for magic lectures in the
San Francisco Bay Area...
Jerry Andrus lectured for our club in February of
1997.
These pictures show what our lectures usually look
like at our regular meeting location. As you can see, we get a lot of people
from all over the SF Bay Area. Some people came from Santa Rosa and points
further north -- a good two hour drive.
Here's the announcement that we ran prior to Jerry's lecture:
For many years Jerry Andrus has been a well respected magician and magical inventor. Perhaps you know the Andrus Linking Pins. Perhaps you've seen his 3D optical illusions (they've been in Omni Magazine). Perhaps you've got his book "Andrus Card Control". Suffice it to say that you've probably seen some of Jerry's work in some magazine, book, or being performed by him or other magicians.
His lectures are never a dealers demonstration. He explains everything so that you do not have to buy anything from him to do the effects. All of the material is his own original work. There are a few things with cards in the lecture, but nothing that requires great skill. He may also perform some routines involving his unique card work (which is done without the usual shuffles and cuts), with the disclosure of the methods being in his book and not a part of the lecture. Lecture notes and his book "Andrus Card Control" will be available.
